Dear Colleagues, Honoured Speakers, Members and Delegates,
It is with great pleasure and deep appreciation that I welcome you to the AASPN 2027 Congress, held from 19-21 March 2027 in Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia.
The AASPN Congress has always been more than an academic gathering, it is a reflection of our shared commitment to advancing pediatric neurosurgery through collaboration, education, and innovation. Each congress brings together a diverse and dedicated community of professionals who are united by a common purpose: to improve the lives of children through excellence in neurosurgical care.
Over the course of this meeting, we will explore the evolving landscape of our specialty, from emerging surgical techniques and technological advancements to multidisciplinary approaches that enhance patient care. Equally significant are the conversations that will take place among peers, mentors, and future leaders, fostering connections that transcend borders and generations.
As our field continues to advance, so too must our sense of responsibility. We are entrusted not only with technical expertise, but with compassion, ethical integrity, and a vision for equitable care across our region. This congress serves as a platform to reflect on these values while pushing the boundaries of what is possible.

It is my great honour and privilege to welcome you to the AASPN 2027 Congress, taking place from 19th – 21st March 2027 in the beautiful city of Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia.
Our congress represents far more than a scientific meeting. It is a gathering of a community bound by a shared mission: to advance the care of children with neurosurgical conditions through knowledge, innovation, and compassionate collaboration. Every edition of the AASPN Congress strengthens the bridges between nations, institutions, and individuals who are dedicated to improving outcomes for our youngest and most vulnerable patients.
Over the course of these three days, we will explore emerging technologies, evolving surgical techniques, and multidisciplinary approaches that continue to reshape pediatric neurosurgery. Equally important are the conversations that happen beyond the lecture halls, the exchange of ideas, experiences, and perspectives that inspire progress long after the congress concludes.
